HYDERABAD: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy announced the govt’s ambitious plans to develop a ‘fourth city’ on the land acquired for Pharma City at Mucherla in Rangareddy district by the previous govt.
Speaking in the Assembly during a debate on the Appropriation Bill, he said the ‘fourth city’ would be the ‘future city’. “After Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad, we are going to establish a ‘fourth city’ at Mucherla with skills development university, an artificial intelligence hub, a world class stadium, super-speciality hospitals and universities,” he said.
A health tourism hub will be developed at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore, the CM said, adding that Hyderabad is sought-after for medical and health requirements from other states, Middle East and many other countries.
The National Academy of Construction, which is presently in located Hi-Tec City, will be shifted to Mucherla and accommodated on a much larger space to impart skills to youth to enable them to work within the country and also abroad, Revanth said. The new city will also get metro rail connectivity.
